A quickening in my heart opened my mind to the revelation that he was describing the slow, painful, death of his beloved child. Without hesitation and a renewed sense of determination he stated, "I believe in God!" Why Is There Child Abuse And Incest News stories of neglect and horrible crimes against children are plastered all over the television and newspapers almost on a daily basis. The crimes against children are horrifying to hear about because they are waged against children who are helpless because they are unable to defend themselves against an abuser. Why Is My Teenager Angry I could feel tears welling up in my eyes at yet another explosion. What happened to my sweet little boy who would run to help me put away the dishes? Ever since he turned thirteen every time I asked him to pick up his room or brush his teeth it was like World War III! Why Does God Allow Cancer My fears mounted as each day passed with yet another set of tests declaring that the cancer is still present. Relatives I hadn't seen for years began parading into my hospital room. They're expressions reflected concern mixed with deathbed goodbyes. Why Do People Say What They Don't Mean? Why Did A Tornado Destroy Greensburg Kansas Turning on my television set a news anchorman within moments broke into regular programming breathlessly announcing that Greensburg, Kansas was devastated by a tornado that was a mile and a half wide. I took a deep breathe as I realized that my daughter and her families town was just twenty miles from Greensburg. Why Can't I Do It Myself The lawn was filled with briers and thistles. It was like a web spreading out and capturing my once beautiful green grass. How could this have happened? I did everything right! Why Are Twenty Million People Depressed In The United States? Depression plagues twenty million people in the United States. What is the root cause of depression? How can people find relief from this debilitating disease. Why Am I Here, In The First Place Why am I here and what is my purpose? These questions often enter my mind as I reflect on my own life. It seems this is what most people want to know especially when they have just been through a life altering experience. Many people have become so preoccupied with life that they have stopped reaching out to God. They believe that God doesn't care. They refuse to see that all forms of disasters in this world is the preamble to the end. What Makes A Person Good Or Bad What makes a person good or bad? Is it their sexual orientation? Or rather is it what kind of person they are when they face problems. Does the person display integrity? Does he show, by his actions, that he is of high moral character? Thousands Dead In Myanmar And China Is A Sign Of The End Times Mega disasters are a sign of the End Times. Our world has an allotted time and it is almost over. This is the reason why our world is experiencing mega disasters like the cyclone in Myanmar and the quake in China that has lead to hundreds of thousands of people dying. The Wonders Of The Lord Look at the ocean in all of its glory! On any given day the colors of the blue changes. Its white foam swirls and churns producing glorious ripples and peaceful glimpses of imagined mystical creatures under its clear blue crystal waters. The Time Is Now A luminous world appeared in perfect splendor. It was all a flutter with beautiful angels darting back and forth excitedly proclaiming the Greatness of God. Suddenly a Being more beautiful than all of the rest stood before the exuberate crowd dressed in clothes that shone like lightning. The Prognoses Was Serious, I Was Going To Die Why was this happening to me? I always did what was right. Why would God allow such a terrible disease to consume my body? When we commit our ways to following God, isn't He suppose to protect us? The Holy Spirit Is Crucial - Part Two The veil lifted and my eyes sparkled with revelation that longed for the secrets of the Universe to open. I wanted to understand everything from beginning to end from the wisdom given freely by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit Is Crucial - Part One Stormy clouds of darkness parted as a pure white dove descended from a vibrant ray of light with a small olive branch clasped in it's beak. One person and then another accepted the Holy Spirits message, but most shook their heads unable to believe in anything more than what they could humanly see. The Evil Dragon Satan A gigantic dragon loomed within the clouds of the darkened sky. It's breath exhaled sparking burning rays of fire into the ominous night. The sky grew fierce and lightning bolts of flame reached out and touched one man and then another, until millions of people were connected helplessly to the terrifying sight of imminent destruction. The Creator Of The Heavenly Lights A sparkling white dove floated down leaving a trail of sunbeams in it's flight. It's wings were spread out and it's eyes showed a determination to bring a urgent message of love from Jesus Christ. The Clouds Parted And I Began To See This was not the first time that I had been caught in a storm of fury. It seemed that every so often a test would emerge opening my eyes to a truth that I had never understood before. The Battle Over Love The Chess game took on a form of war that led to a truth. A truth that was disguised so that the evil found in the hearts of men would be revealed. Good men recognize love and do what is right, but if you are not careful a good man can be used as an instrument of hate. Thanksgiving Demands Change The storm raged against the bow of the ship reminding the pilgrims the cost of freedom. Freedom to believe in God the way they wanted to worship Him. Freedom to govern themselves without the constrains of a culture built on classes because of a person's wealth and position. Sound The Battle Cry A message of love and peace on earth rang through the forest. Ending with thoughtful words of warning pleading to all who would listen and to all who can hear the voice of God. Something Good Is About To Happen The dread I felt encompassed my thoughts and feelings. My energy stopped flowing and immediately I felt my soul complain once again that nothing was ever going my way. Depression took control of my body and reminded me of everything I did for others and how I was never repaid. Slay The Dragon Christian soldiers, you have a mission! Be brave and true to your call to defend Jesus Christ your Savior from the evils of this world. Remember our fight is not against flesh and blood, it is against the wicked spiritual forces of evil. Evil, which wants to defeat love and all those who are good. Sin Was My Master And Murder Was My Crime Time passed slowly over the next day as he waited to see if anyone would notice what he had done. His only thoughts were what would happen to him when they found out about the murder. The feelings of power that he had once felt were now changing into the fear of retribution. Recently my son, who is a minister with a master in divinity from the South Western Baptist Theological Seminary, in Dallas, Texas was fired from his job. He had put years of service into the biggest First Southern Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas as their Video Production Engineer. Should Christian People Mourn the Death of A Man Who Promoted Hate Newsmen hovered and ran to cover the newest breaking story. They were eager to proclaim the death of a powerful man of the Religious Right who had passed away from a massive heart attack. Satan's Got Your Number Let's have fun, let's get drunk at a party! After a few drinks you are completely gone and so your so called 'friends' dare you to get a permanent tattoo that is perverted, X rated, and demeaning to women. You are the center of everyone's attention and it feel's great until you wake up in the morning sober and realize what you did! Sacrifices We Make For Love When I am in control my pride is intact, but when God is control I can see our world for what it is! Open your eyes to how God can change you into more loving, kind and compassionate people. Money Can Corrupt A Good Person So many people are easy targets to con artists who prey upon good and honest people. Victims are hard working people who toil and slave to build a nest egg for the rainy days of life. People who fight to get ahead, but often times fall prey to scams and opportunities that don't exist. Marriage, What's The Point The princess looked into the loving eyes of her prince. She melted into his arms of love. Love that was built by God and held together by God. Marriage that is made strong by conquering the difficulties in the world with God's help so they could live, "Happily Ever After". Love, An Unbreakable Force Good sense of humor, hard working, has a good job, loves kids and dogs, likes to build and fix things, loves to cook, nice smile, hair and at least a semi-nice body. Once again I found myself looking through the personals on the internet. Love Sprang To Life And She Captured My Heart I winked at a woman never expecting more than a date. Instead I found the woman of my dreams. A woman that I would spend the rest of my life with. A woman who turned out to be my perfect match, all because I trusted God to lead me down the right path. Love Is The Key To The World Believing in what is unseen is gaining understanding about the purpose of this world. From the Miracle of life to the wonders of our world stand up and see that it could have never just been created in a big bang! Living Life Moment By Moment Knowing what I was fighting against made me understand how Satan uses life to make us worry so much that we stop loving. Worry can take away our joy and keep us focused on our problems. Listen, God Is Speaking Some of the messages fell on those who thought they were meaningless and they ignored them. Others fell on believers who vowed to follow them, but when the trials of life occurred they quickly forgot. But there were a few messages that fell on ordinary people who took them to heart and shared them with those who would listen. I am one of those ordinary people. Limited In Time and Space Do you ever wonder what it would be like to jump off a cliff and fly like a bird? Wouldn't it be fun to breath under water and explore the ocean. No, I'm not talking about airplanes or submarines, I mean exploring the world with this kind of freedom in the our human bodies of flesh and blood. Let's Go To The Movies Real life stories are the best movies. They open up your mind and make you think differently about your own life. They have the ability to teach you about a truth that you would never have known if you hadn't seen it on the big screen. Lessons You Learn When Your Child Is In An Accident I watched as my three year old grandson was wheeled out of the emergency room fastened tightly to a gurney with a huge head brace encircling his tiny head. He was being flown to a larger hospital where a specialist for his kind of head injury was waiting to perform an operation on his brain to save his life. Keeping The Faith Confused and alone five year old Christy watched as her mother was jailed, injured, made homeless, and abandoned by family and friends. Christy grew up wondering how people justified telling her to hate her mother while teaching her that God is love. Judge Not Least You Be Judged Recently a minister and his congregation have been picketing the funerals of fallen soldiers from Iraq. Are they doing God's will by telling the families of these war hero's that their sacrifice is a result of judgment by God for allowing homosexuals into the armed forces? Or is this minister and his followers an instrument of Satan? Jesus Is The Light As a small child I was given a burgundy book of Bible stories by my grandmother. At the time I couldn't read, but the pictures set my imagination into action and confronted me with questions. Jesus Christ, Superman Part Two Jesus Christ Superman was the Savior of the World. Following Him would take every ounce of strength. But when they placed their faith in Jesus they had the power to overcome the greatest world game of them all! Jesus Christ, Superman Part Three It's a bird. . It's a plane. . No! It's Jesus Christ, Superman, Savior of the world! An audience of beautiful shimmering angels stood before the magnificent throne of God. The power that emanated from the Lord God Almighty could be felt spreading a warm sensation of adoring love reverberating into the hearts of all those who stood before His presence.
