Apostolic Church Founder Charles Parham
Charles Fox Parham (1873-1929) is considered the founder of the modern Apostolic Church. He was a small time holiness preacher who was interested in the book of Acts. In January 3, 1901, in Topeka Kansas he along with his wife and twelve others received the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of it in unknown or other tongues. He said then: 'I thank God that I am saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost (Spirit).' He called this new group 'The Apostolic Faith.'

The History of Catholic Oneness
We have the writings of Clement, the fourth bishop probably knew the Apostle Paul personally. He had no trinity in his writings. Polycarp quoted from his 1st Clement. Polycarp, who was another Oneness believer and associated with the apostle Paul, had fellowship with the sixth and tenth Roman bishops. The tenth bishop, Pius, was the half brother of the famous Hermas, who wrote The Shepherd, a monarchian piece of literature that advocated baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was popularly read by many alongside the word of God, and was widely popular until around the fourth century.

Repentance
Repentance is being sorry enough to turn away from our sin. That's the most basic definition of it. This repenting includes thinking differently or reconsidering our ways. It is impossible to truly and fully change your mind without that causing a change in action. In the word of God, repentance results in a change in behavior. That is why John the Baptist called people to 'produce fruit in keeping with repentance' (Matthew 3:8).

Early Church History
The Samaritans receive the word of God and are baptized by Peter into the name of Jesus Christ. Phillip baptized the Ethiopian. This new convert took the Acts message to North Africa and started North African Christianity. This message spread through all of Africa. (A. Neander, pgs. 71, 79, 132, 424) It never perished. Paul evangelized Asia Minor and lower Europe. (Acts 15:14) The Apostle John died. He had carried on for Paul and evangelized the Roman world, Armenia, Malabar, Saxony, and Glastonbury. Celtic missionaries spread Acts 2:38 message all over Western Europe. (A. Neander, pg. 49).

How the Apostles Died
Simon Peter was martyred some thirty years after the death of Christ. Peter wrote his last letter from Babylon (Iraq), and not in Rome. He almost certainly died in that city. The time and manner of the apostle's martyrdom are less certain. According to the some writers, he died about the same time with Paul (who was beheaded according to tradition during Nero's persecution) A.D. 67. All agree that he was crucified. John. No death date given by early writers. Death date is by conjecture only and is variously assigned as being between 89 AD to 100 AD. Besides the apostles being put to death, t

The Names of Jesus
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Matt 16:16). John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

One Throne
In the book of Revelations, John shows us the scene of one throne and one sitting on the throne. Revelation 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. To show three thrones in heaven is tritheism, or the belief in three gods. The idea of three thrones contradicts Scripture, as Revelation 4:2 is clear there is one throne. Also, to say that there is one throne begs the question, who is sitting on the throne?

Jesus, the Dove and Voice
'And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased' (Matthew 3:16-17; Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22, and John 1:32-34). Many have used the above passage as a proof-text for the Trinity. Is this the point of the passage? Let us explore the exact meaning of Jesus' baptism and if there's any evidence of a trinity.

Twelve Reasons
Here are twelve reasons for adult biblical baptism in the only saving name of the Lord Jesus Christ, instead of the powerless and usual trintarian formula (father, son and Holy Ghost). No one was baptized in the Bible by pouring or sprinkling. People were baptized (immersed) in the Jordan (Matthew 3:6). Jesus went up straightway out of the water (Mat 3:16). Nobody in the Bible was ever baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Many people were baptized in the name Jesus (Ac 2:36-41; 8:5,14-16; 10:48; 19:1-7; 22:16; 1 Cor. 1:11-13). The Bible calls the devil a father, son and spirit.

Apostolic Prayer
After Solomon finished praying, fire from heaven struck the whole burnt offering and sacrifices and the glory of God filled the Temple. (2 Chr. 7:1) That's a effectual fervent prayer that avails much with God. Remember, it's possible to study the Bible like a Pharisee (who gained only head knowledge) and never connect with the Spirit of God (John 5:37). Unfortunately, it's the same idea with prayer. As we are delivered from erroneous tradition and become renewed in the spirit of our minds our prayers change, and become fully seasoned with redemptive truth.

What Baptists Believed
The Baptist Church at one time agreed in the importance of baptism, and in the name of Jesus. Historians trace the earliest Baptist church back to 1609 in Amsterdam, with English Separatist John Smyth as it's pastor. He baptized himself and before he died he moved away from his Baptists beliefs by becoming a Mennonite. Baptists believe that baptism is a sign of obedience to God, and one must believe (the believer's baptism) prior to it's completion. The modern Baptist denomination is an outgrowth of Smyth's movement. The Baptist Standard Confession of 1660 declared Jesus name baptisms valid.

Biblical Baptism
Baptism or baptize. Both these words have their root in the Greek 'bapto,' meaning to immerse, dip, or plunge under water; to wash; the words are sometimes used metaphorically, as a baptism of blood, of fire, of the Holy Spirit. Baptism was not an invention of Christianity; both Judaism and the pagan mystery religions recognized the natural symbolism of ceremonial washings and utilized baptism as a rite of initiation into their circle. Baptism first appears in the New Testament in the narratives concerning John the Baptist. John's preaching ushered in the Messianic Age.

Baptism Passages
In the Bible, the words baptize, baptism, baptist, baptizeth, and baptizing are used a total of 100 times according to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible. The word's use and it's meaning are explored. There are five types of baptisms in the word of God. There's the baptism of John, of fire, sufferings, Holy Ghost and of the Great Commission. The one type that we are specifically looking at is water baptism.
