Everybody must know that one minute consists of sixty seconds. But according to IDT a lot of telephone card corporations just give customers 36 seconds in a minute. Lots of reputed corporations asserted that there can't be any fair rivalry if one of rivals has unfair advantages before the beginning of a competition. Last year IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) began a lawsuit against several corporations-providers of prepaid phone cards alleging false advertising and deceptive trade practices.
It is difficult to realize, but some of dishonest card producers give only approximately 60 percent of time, which were paid for. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have reached a complete resolution of the lawsuit delivered by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC against Total Call. Before that IDT/UTA started enforcement procedure versus the group of defendants for three times. Today there is a roll of another accused includes about six corporations and some of them are: Epana Networks Inc., Dollar Phone Corp., etc.. IDT/UTA's lawsuit versus the residuary defendants is still continuing in federal court in Newark, New Jersey. Recently, one of softswitch manufacturers made known his advanced conditions of paying the telephone services. One of the characteristics he takes pride in was the scope to set the duration of the minute to as long as you want. Another feature was to stochastically keep back a minute from the balance. Furthermore, they explained that it is standard on all calling card systems. I couldn't believe that it was true. But today when I found IDT press releases, I realize that they were probably right.
If you can primitively calculate, that you should estimate how many units you will get on the account buying an international phone card. The proportion is 100 units by only $1! You need to choose properly the cards to be assured you're getting what you pay for. The corporations, that have been involved into that story, engaged for returning the whole amount of units to their customers as soon as they can. IDT/UTA thinks that until all accused have consented to follow to this standard, it is profitable for the pending prosecution of that action to have a streamlined litigation with fewer accused. They have to approve the offered rules to make the competition between the telephone card facility corporations really fair and reasonable. The methods, that will precisely examine all the actions related to the pay beforehand cards, will be designed by these corporations. The participants consented to provide the useful tracing system open for everybody who wants to check the actions.
