The Teddy Bear



Made with love

Made with care

It was sitting

Upon the chair



Over time

It became

Battered and beaten

But still remained



Full of love

And laughter too

Even though it was

Very far from new



But over time

The children grew

And the heart of the Teddy Bear

Became sad and blue



Into the closet

It was sent

And the children

Forgot where it had went



Adults the

Children became

And children of their

Own they had named



Out of the closet

The teddy flew

And watched once more

As the children grew
