The most unhealthy thing in an office is engaging in an affair with a colleague or co-worker. It only works well for the boss but not for junior workers. This does not mean that i condone cases where senior workers exploit junior workers sexually. The problem comes when conflicts of interest start emerging. Cases where the boss and a junior male worker are going for the same trophy. When two workers of the same organization but in different ranks are fighting for the attention of the same woman. Territorial fights emerge in the organization where unfair actions are taken where a person is shown the sack leaving the senior guy to enjoy all the comforts. Office sex strains relationships between workers which trickles down to affect the organization in a negative way.
Familiarity breeds contempt. When senior staff resorts to office sex with colleagues and other members of the junior staff, it becomes an unwise move. All your weakness and faults are exposed and there will be little respect accorded to you. You cannot pass a policy with that bold hard-line like you used to. It is impossible to exercise power with office sex still being played behind the scenes. A person who aspires to be in leadership role should aspire to be respected rather than be loved by his juniors.
