When the individual tend to visit the dentist will continue the treatment till the condition becomes normal, but after this, he will entirely forget about it. But this negligence should not happen and this might lead to.

As we don't give much importance and visit the dentist only after a big problem arises, the dentist might suggest some treatment, which also includes dental implant. An artificial or non natural tooth root replacement is known as dental implant. There are many types of dental implants and the most successful treatment and accepted by many is Osseo integrated implant.

A dental implant is typically consists of a titanium screw which resembles a tooth root with roughened surface. Mostly this surface is either treated by plasma spraying, sandblasting or etching to increase the potential of the implant. An implant surgery is done as an outpatient by giving general anesthesia or local anesthesia by certified and trained dentists, oral surgeons or periodontists. A simple dental implant is even done by cosmetic dentists or prosthodontists.

There are many approaches to do dental implants after the tooth extraction. They are as follows:

Immediate implant placement after the extraction

Delay in implant placement after the extraction, might be from two weeks to three months.

Late implant placement after the extraction which might be after three months.

According to the above mentioned approaches the loading of dental implants will take place and they are classified into certain procedure and they are:

Late Loading Procedure - more than six months

Many people want their treatment plan to be longer as the results will be good according to them. The success rate depends on the dentist's skill, and capacity, and the quality, quantity of the bone besides patient's health condition and oral hygiene. Most of the smokers fall under poor success rate because of their smoking habit. The price of this treatment varies from country to country and in many places they are very costly. So in this case people go in for dental insurance. The dental implant companies must have the approval of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and must satisfy the manufacturing standards.
