Are you in a stage where you are afraid to leave the confines of your home? Not because someone is after you but it is that you think that maybe someone is after you and might attack you in the moment you step out. Have you felt that at one time you are perfectly fine then the next thing you know you are suddenly gripped by that unknown apprehension? You break into a sweat, you can not breathe, your heart feels like bursting from your chest and it seems like someone is strangling and choking the life out of you? Then you are a perfect candidate for an anxiety panic disorder.
A lot of people, usually after a traumatic experience that have not properly dealt with, are the ones suffering from anxiety panic disorder. It is like a constant fear of something that has no tangible reasons. They are a tank full of feelings of intense dread, terror and a feeling of impending doom. That is where the problem lies, they are but inside and will remain bottled up in a person until the person himself tries to help himself by seeking help.
But what is the real deal with this and how life changing is anxiety panic disorder? People suffering from anxiety panic disorder, has several repeated attacks of panic and anxiety. This may continue for days, weeks or even months depending when the person finally seeks help. Because of the nature of the disorder (for one fears something that does not exist, or fears something that is not supposed to be feared) the case if left untreated may worsen in every bout of attack. This can reach a point where it will disrupt the person's life. He would no longer work because of fear, no longer step out of the house, and worst hide in his room for fear of something dreadful happening. See how it interferes with the normal flow of your life? With your relationship with your family, friends and everybody around. See how fear can manipulate a person's life and ruin the things and people one valued most?
So what causes these attacks? What triggers this kind of irrational fear? Studies shows that anxiety panic disorder is inherited, something to do with brain structures and overproduction of certain chemicals. Some is also attributed to major stresses in life that a person for years had not coped up. Some is caused by of drug abuse and improper use of potent medications. The most probable as I have mentioned before is if the person has undergone a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
But what elicits such attacks should also be tackled so as to help you in a way to lessen the possibilities of attacks. Anxiety panic disorder and its anxiety and panic attacks are usually triggered by stimulants like caffeine and other medications containing stimulants, nicotine from cigarettes and tobacco, also various stresses in life but some are rarely understandable it could be a smell, the lighting, the noise, a taste, a color or any other things that only the person knows the significance.
What is most important to treat this, is that if the person himself acknowledge that there is indeed a problem. Denying or concealing the truth about such an event would not help in alleviating the symptoms or the incidence of the attacks. Every problem starts with self-awareness. You got to find help if you think you need the help. You must not let fear, shame or any other intense feelings interfere with your keeping the beautiful and peaceful balance of your life. Do not let fear control your life, hinder your good relationship with the people you love nor let it dictate who you are and who you will become. Conquer your fear that is how everybody survives.
