Article Summary: I know I've felt that feeling of being ripped off or played for a fool each time I'd step onto a car dealership. What if there was a way that lets you be in control of the outcome? Would you feel a whole lot better and more at ease?

Awhile ago, I bumped into a friend, who has since retired from his government job. He and I are both car fanatics, and as I spoke with him, I noticed there was something a bit different about him. Perhaps it might have been the spring in his step or the positive tone in his voice and the sparkle in his eyes that I noticed when we began to talk about our passions, which are cars. So I asked him jokingly, I know you enjoy talking about cars but from that big smile on your face and the twinkle in your eyes, it looks as though you have discovered some kind secret or holy grail that you are hiding from me? With that comment, he began to tell me his story.

Apparently he was car shopping for his wife and began to get "mixed feelings" from the car salesmen who were talking to him. He began to feel that the salesmen he was talking to were not telling him the truth (a kind of "sixth-sense" sort of thing). So he began compulsively investigating all the deals he could possibly find elsewhere and online, and in the process he started to see a clear pattern: Car customers are being lied to and cheated out of $10,000's each and every time they buy even a single car! My friend then told me he got really "ticked off" and this drove him to an even DEEPER investigation until he had a stack of facts, figures, and even methods that allowed him to put one over on the car dealerships (for a well-deserved change!)

After going through his new found information, my friend discovered that by just doing from 1 to 5 things would allow him the ability to get ANY CAR he wanted, from normal everyday cars to even the most exotic cars such as Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royces at way below wholesale prices! Mind you, these key things are what Car Dealerships Do Not Want You (The New Car Buyer) To Know! So, as you can imagine, I was very interested in what these new car dealerships did not want me to know and how I could save money buying a new car. I was not about to walk away from my friend without knowing just a small amount of what he knew! What I am about to share with you below is only a fraction of the facts, figures, and methods that allowed my friend to put one over on ANY car dealerships!

Extended Warranty Myths: I Do Not Need An Extended Warranty, I Am Covered By The Manufacturer. When your Ford warranty expires, that's when all hell can break loose. You could be exposed to large repair losses. Auto extended warranties have benefits like towing, car rental, toll free assistance, trip interruption, lost key lockout. Once the manufacturer warranty ends, the extended warranty picks up for another few years. It's crucial to buy auto warranties early, right when you buy the car, it's the cheapest. Just like life insurance, the longer you wait, the more it will cost, so if you plan to buy a warranty, lock in your savings now while your car is young and healthy. Danger Will Robinson: As more repair data surfaces on your Ford, BMW, Kia, Dodge or Chevrolet for example, vehicles are placed into higher rate classes. Once you buy your extended warranty, your rate class cannot change. Get it now, not later.

My Car dealer told me I have to buy my extended warranty now or I can never get one. Car dealers love to tell you this lie to force you into buying now. Once you leave, they lose their chance forever of selling you that Ford extended warranty. They make the most commissions on extended warranties, they want you paying interest on that $3000 BMW extended warranty too, which increases your auto warranty cost by hundreds, or even thousands of dollars. Buy your warranty direct from the extended warranty company.

Car dealer lies: My car dealer told me the bank requires me to buy the extended warranty or I won't get loan approval. With car dealer extended auto warranties, you often pay double for less coverage, no wear and tear or overheating. Some car dealers lie to you that you must buy a car warranty to qualify for the loan. All extended car warranties can be refunded 100% in 30 days if no claims have been made. If you were forced to buy that Ford warranty or Honda warranty you don't want, get your money back. Other consumers have complained the dealer sold them an extended auto warranty, but never sent payment to the auto warranty company! A car dealer should be your last resort to shop for auto warranties, after you get quotes from online car warranties. No matter what lies dealers tell you, they can't argue with these tips on how to choose the best auto warranty.

Do I need an auto extended warranty? You must decide if you need that BMW extended warranty. The cost to repair today's complex vehicles is rising. If you lease your Honda for 36 months you don't need extended auto warranties, and it's a scam for a dealer to sell you one. If you got suckered into a 60 month auto lease, you should buy a Honda extended warranty, as you are responsible for all repairs. Auto extended warranties protect yourself from inflation later when you need repairs. Like insurance, if you don't buy it, you'll be looking over your shoulder. The most common repairs are A/C, transmissions, and electrical. Most people buy their auto warranty because they know 10 minutes after the car maker's warranty expires, the antenna motor will fail. That's $200-$1000. window motors cost $600-$1000. One covered failure can pay for the cost of the extended car warranty.

Don't Be Denied A Warranty Claim!
These issues will cause your auto warranty company to reject your claim! Get approval BEFORE repairs are done! People have been denied reimbursement for failure to get prior authorization. Dodge the bullet, get authorization BEFORE repairs are done. If you are kept on hold all day, it's toll free.

If your extended warranty company wants to inspect your car for pre-existing conditions before they sell you a warranty, let them. Then they can't claim pre-existing condition and reject your claims later, for they inspected and approved your car.

Most warranties require oil changes every 6 months. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance guide for your car or you'll be denied a claim. If your engine blows up because it's been over a year since you changed the oil, you're going to get the buzzer".

If your car overheats, pull over. Damage caused by continued operation after a failure IS NOT covered. They can tell when you kept driving with an overheated engine. Towing it to a repair shop is cheaper than a rejected $2000 engine repair.

Improper fluid levels, worn gaskets which are not changed in a timely manner can get your claim rejected. If they tear your car apart to get at the failed part and it is not a covered part, you have to pay for everything.

If you buy a used car warranty and they find out the failure was already there, you won't be covered for that failure.

If you install an after market tow hitch instead of the tow hitch from the factory, this will void your warranty.

A car with a "salvaged title" voids the extended warranty. Before you buy that used Dodge, check the VIN.
