It seems that a lot of people these days are relying on synthetic vitamins that are chemically induced and do not give the best nutritional values.
Eating fruits and vegetables is the best source of natural vitamins and minerals.
Fruits such as blueberries and plums have been proven to reduce the risk of cancer while also helping to aid in protecting your urinary tract. Green vegetables like broccoli (among the healthiest of vegetables) and spinach help to keep your eyes, teeth and bones strong and healthy.
To help keep your heart healthy you will want to choose mushrooms and or onions along with some oranges and carrots which can help to keep you immune system functioning at it's best which can help to keep you from getting colds and other illnesses. You can also add in some apples and beets to help your memory functioning properly and also to help keep your overall system working at it's best.

Tomato juice and apple juice are also a great source of nutrition and vitamins if you don't have the time or the willingness to always keep fresh fruits and vegetables on hand.
One of the other healthy diet choices you can make is to cut down on your intake of saturated fats found in most processed foods. Nuts are a great source of protein and contain only unsaturated fats although you will want to limit your intake of these to just a handful or so per day.
Cutting down on fat in general will help you to feel better and live a longer, healthier life. I can't stress that drinking plenty of water is also one of the choices you need to make in order to help your body flush out toxins and to keep your system running smoothly.
