Softly beats its wings
Color swirls by as it flutters through
Green fiery fields of grass
Fervently reveling in its ephemeral life
Born from water
Lives beneath the wave
Rises from the water
Devouring its weaker prey
Restless children play in the yard
Chasing a Dragon
A monster they’ve caught
Struggling for life
It’s wings stop beating
