Winter: “Winterizing” your abode is all about staying warm and wrapping up. There are some ways to go about this without sacrificing your house's sense of style. For instance, it’s the right time to draw attention to your fireplace and turn it into your room’s focal point. Accent it with a large area rug and you’ve got a nice decorative touch, along with a comfy sitting area.

Majority of shades will work well during the winter season, although it is a great idea to stay away from lifeless colors like gray, brown, and black.
