Mostly StoryBoards are like a comic and some of ink maker and classic pencil ones. They are prepared with lots of hard work of hours, concentration, and most importantly a predefined process and attributes. First of all a StoryBoard Artist has to determine the mind and heart of the client, that what exactly is the client needed, and after completion what would be appreciated by a client. So they have to keep track of the minds of their existing clients.

Drawing is the major and the key factor of this profession and is the base of this product to be finished. Most of the times Drawing is everything in this profession. If they draw a single screenplay and draw is looking nice and clear, vision of characters are clear and sharp , but the hands or legs are looking funny as they appears in some of the drawings , so in this case the product is incomplete and not upon the quality of this profession. Drawing must be reflecting the real life characters and a scene must look like those real characters are doing their activities. All angles of the drawing must be sharp and well defined.

Understanding of movies, directories and television working is very much essential to prepare an effective screenplay. Taking care of the terminologies of this particular line is also a important role for these people like how much zoom, wide, pan, etc must be there in the screenplay. And which character of screenplay must be given the maximum zoom according to in which storyline that shot held.

IT enabled and literate is also an important factor in modern days for this profession. There are many tools and software's presented in the market of different companies, which produce different kinds of effective shots very similar to handmade drawing. Infect they still have to be very much efficient in hand made drawing , as sometimes they have to use mouse instead of pencil to draw a scene. Adobe and 3D Max are the software's are presented in the market to frame the effective shots.

Being fast is also considered very much in this, as client's timeline is also very much important. So completing your work on time will be appreciated. Breaking down the script into different layers and Working on a single layer is much more easy and robust. Sometimes client give the scripts, but usually these scripts are very tight and short to be converted into a screen play. So in this case they have to enhance the script according to them and integrate different characters according to the storyline of the script. Thumb nailing the all scripts and shots makes the task much easier for them. Integrating the notes, thumbnails and material is the final task for them. They can be black and white, mono chromatic or full color. They can be old school pencil on paper or new school digital paint. They can be sketchy or tight, Cartoony or realistic. Packed with shot notes, action lines and arrows, or drawn like movie stills.
