The country includes many different cultures that reflect the different influences it has undergone during the ages. This happens because the country lies at the crossroads between India, Persia, and Northern Asia. This has shaped not only the culture, but also the Afghanistan map. The Afghan culture displays influences mainly from the Islamic religion, as most of the country is Muslim. However, this was not the case centuries ago, when the land was under Buddhist influence. However, the traditional costumes differ from one region to the other, as each ethnical group posses its unique traditions, and clothing.

Nevertheless, probably the most important aspect about it concerns the people who live in this country, the Afghans that have endured countless struggles over the centuries. Because of the strategic position that Afghanistan has, many great powers have tried to conquer it. Some succeeded, but they never managed to break the resistance of the Afghans, or to silence their desire for freedom. Nowadays, Afghanistan is trying to rehabilitate itself in the eyes of the international community, as the last decade has seen a lot of tension in this part of the world. Now many countries are trying to support the Afghan people in order for them to regain the trust and respect they once had.

Another interesting aspect about the Afghan life and culture is the fact that even though in the last 20 years the Taliban government had banned public performance of music, and the production of musical instruments, the joy of singing remained in people’s hearts. Afghan artists still performed in the time when this could mean breaking the law. Nowadays, Afghan singers are trying to make up for the lost ground and are going outside their country in order to present the world with their culture.

Another great thing about this country is its share in the development of architecture. Sites witch you can easily find on an Afghanistan map, such as Heart, and Ghazni, confirm this. Another unique aspect about the Afghan life is their diet. It contains mainly cereals, such as wheat, maize, and rice. The country has a lot of agricultural land, thing that one can observe easily on the Afghanistan map.

Overall, Afghanistan is an amazing country that has been through a lot of turmoil throughout the last decades. However, this did not ruin the Afghan people’s hope for peace and prosperity. The people have created communities on the Internet to keep track of new events and to discuss major issues in their lives. In this manner, they have the opportunity to discuss over the Internet Afghan events, music, cultural issues, politics, sports and economy, in order to keep their culture intact, even if they live in different countries or regions of the world.
