A Childs Journey

I take a long huddled walk,
on a cold mid winter's night
The cutting wind passes through my clothes,
feeling the clench of natures bite

Tiny multi coloured explosions,
light up the crunching snow
As bright as the passing falling star,
with it's glowing tail in tow

No music, cars or screaming voices,
I am lost in my own thought
No point to even worry,
about the gifts which cannot been bought

I have no destination,
and my tiny feet are cold
To ask a stranger for money,
even for me that would be to bold

So I try to think back on the days spent in church,
and what the preacher would say
That God takes care of his children,
so maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
