Try to get your dog socialized when they are young and before starting a training program. Doing so can make them much more accommodating. If you can walk your pup, you can curtail that impulsivity they tend to have. Do not do obedience-training groups.

If you can, use positive strengthening guidance techniques. Such things can be dog treats, toys, strokes and hug. These things will correct your pup quicker than yelling at them.
